Dre P.

Andre J. Parr, aka Dre P. was born on August 17, in Toledo, Ohio. Dre P. started pursing his career in music in 2003. In 2005 began working closely with Shawn Stockman of the Grammy Award winning group “Boyz II Men.” Shawn noticed a star quality in Dre P. and encouraged Dre P. too market his music as an independent artist. He enlisted the talents of Toledo’s top MC’s and soon formed a group called Da Fly Guyz developing his Independent label, Fly Guy Ent. Under Fly Guy Ent., Dre P. released ‘Big Flipper’ in 2006. A regional club classic, which officially put him on the Midwest hip hop radar. Dre P. then appeared on television shows like Showtime at the Apollo, and BET’s 106 & Park. In his music, Dre P. addressed issues of street life, and the ups & downs of entering the game, in an effort of approaching hip-hop from a different prospective.
