Richard Butler

by  James Christopher Monger Richard Butler arrived on the U.K. rock scene in 1977 as the enigmatic lead singer for the Psychedelic Furs. The group's heady blend of punk, post-rock, and new wave won them legions of fans around the world. The group disbanded in 1991, prompting Butler to form the similarly themed Love Spit Love. Their self-titled debut was released in 1994, followed by Trysome Eatone in 1997. Butler's eponymous solo debut album arrived in 2006 on the Koch label.
