Burning

Spanish Rock band based in Madrid. Founded in 1974 by José Casas "Pepe Risi" (guitar), Enrique Pérez "Quique" (bass), J.A. Martín "Toño" (vocals), and J. A. "Johnny" Cifuentes (keyboards). They had three drummers on their first years (Ernesto "Tito" Estepa 1974-76; Ildefonso García Alvarez "Fonso" 1976-78; and Roberto Oltra "Teto" 1978-79). In 1979 the original line-up is broken when Quique leaves the band, and later in 1983 Toño left them too, remaining the band as Pepe Risi-Johnny with backing musicians until Risi's death in 1997. The band went on with more backing musicians with Johnny as the only founder member. The current line up of Burning is: Johnny Cifuentes (Vocals, piano and keyboard) Carlos Guardado (Bass) Edu Pinilla (Guitar) Kacho Casal (Drums)
