Yogisoul

Yogisoul, one of three producers in the Mutual Intensions crew.  Originally from Moss, a small town an hour outside Oslo, Norway. This guy grew up with hiphop all around him.  Introduced to all kinds of records at at an early age, Yogi have spent years developing a unique sound. Allthough he's been doing production for rappers and singers for a long time, many listeners first got aware of his warm and soulful beats on the first Mutual Intentions tape. Vinyl samples, dusty rhodes chops, thick layered basslines and unquantized crispy drums are essential to Yogisoul's sound.  Educated as an audioengineer, a lot of emphazis is put into the sound of his production. Bridging the gap between the old and the new, Yogisouls SP1200, analog synths and Maschine combo, results in beats with a warm and precise character. While remaining in the hiphop genre, his production relates to soulsingers and jazz musicians as well. Clearly shown on his conceptual debut album "By Nights". A 14 track album that features Ivan Ave, MoRuf, Awon, LumiHD, Dialate, Kristoffer Eikrem and more.
